Dining Out

There are many great places to eat out in Kassiopi. The numerous bars, restaurants and shops are all centrally located within a 10 minute walk of Poseidon Hotel. The mood in Kassiopi is very relaxed, you will never feel rushed to finish your meal and most eateries close when the last diner leaves.

Being a society with strong family values children are welcome just about everywhere. There is never the feeling, often felt back home, that children should not be in the bar or restaurant. This is one of the reasons Kassiopi has become such a friendly resort where the whole family can truly relax and enjoy themselves.

The restaurants offer a vast selection of cuisine from traditional Greek dishes to Italian specialties. Many of the bars also offer snacks and light bites. There is an excellent take-away gyros grill (No.7) situated at the village square.

During the evenings Kassiopi comes to life. There is a nightclub and many lively bars but there are also plenty of quieter bars to relax in. Most restaurants are open throughout the day offering breakfasts, snacks, lunch and then evening meals.

Shopping

Kassiopi has no shortage of shops. Milk, sugar, coffee, nappies, toiletries, snacks, soft drinks, fruit juices and alcoholic beverages, bottled water, etc. If you are self-catering and want to cook in your apartment you will find things such as fresh meat, fish, pasta, rice, fruit, vegetables, frozen and tinned products, among many other provisions.

Bakeries: Kassiopi has two mouthwatering bakeries. Both are a stones throw away from the Poseidon Hotel, opposite each other on the main road as you head towards the square. Simply follow your nose! Bread is baked on a daily basis and there is a large selection of pastries and cakes. For special occasions cakes and other specialties can be baked to order.
